About Justin Lewis -- Justin Lewis has a passion for hospitality, leadership, and teaching. Having been raised in the hotel business and having worked alongside several award-winning hotel teams, his goals are to help hotel managers become outstanding hotel leaders. The Leadership Compass will help us identify our personality traits in the hotel workplace. Justin will share stories about different leaders in history, their traits, and how they can relate to us. We will use this Leadership Design to help each sales person discover how to make decisions, how other people make decisions, how to communicate, and to train others more effectively.

Mike Venner Memorial Grants

The MLHA will award up to 4 grants of $250 each to employees of MLHA member properties who became certified in any one of AHLA's EI industry programs since January 1, 2012. This includes certifications such as Certified Hotel Administrator, Certified Hospitality Sales Professional, Certified Food and Beverage Executive, and many more. Download the application. This must be submitted by Monday, October 1 to be considered for an award in 2012.
